The Trench Coat : An Essential For Every Closet

Every blogger, expert and fashionista can agree on one thing: that the ultimate closet essential is a trench coat. Thomas Burberry invented the trench, designed in his patented gabardine fabric, for soldiers to wear during World War I. With it’s many pockets, D-Rings to attach equipment to and it’s waterproof fabric, the design was quickly adopted by the British Army and worn by officers on the front lines. About 50 years later the design was made universally famous by Humphrey Bogart in the film “Casablanca”, and soon after that the women of the world took over and made it their own, incorporating the piece into their closets with ease. Since then designers across the world have taken liberties with the trench, playing with unique fabrics, details and cuts modernizing the style and making it a staple of their collections. The options for the trench are boundless and here are just a few gorgeous examples that we can now call our own. All of the used and pre-owned/new styles shown below are currently available on the Celebrity Owned eBay store.

Let’s start things off with this absolutely adorable used trench by Off-White in a black & white checked gingham vinyl:

Used Chanel Boots: Save Money on Pre-Owned Chanel

Chanel may be synonymous with refined glamour but in the last decade the brand has elevated the boot to a new level. Whether it be a motorcycle boot in supple quilted leather, a chain-trim bootie in a glittery finished suede or a classic wingtip boot with lace-up cutout detailing, Chanel has once again conquered the market in all things chic. Most of Chanel’s boots retail for over $1,000 but lucky for us, eBay, Poshmark and other high end luxury resale sites are almost always stocked with Chanel for well under current retail. Take for instance these gorgeous gently used two-tone wingtip boots from the 16K Runway collection that retail for $1,850 and are now online for only $795! Or these brand new (you read that right: BRAND NEW) suede and patent leather combat boots for $985. Whichever style you choose, you can be sure that you will have people stopping you in the street and asking “Where did you get those?!”. It’s our little secret.

All styles shown below are currently available on CelebrityOwned.com

How do Chanel boots fit?

In most cases for Chanel shoes a European 36.5 will fit like a US 6, or a 39 will fit like a US 8.5. The general rule of thumb is to deduct the “.5” to find your US size.

How can you tell if Chanel boots are authentic?

All stitching should be even and precise and there should be no folds or ripples where the sole is attached to the shoe. The outsole of every Chanel shoe will be marked with the word “Chanel” and the country of origin. On shoes with leather soles the size will be stamped on it below the country stamp which in most cases will say  “Made In Italy”, but on shoes with rubber soles the size will be foil stamped on the inside of the shoe.
